     OUR MISSION
To encourage an exchange of ideas in the field of music; to enrich the love and understanding of music; to raise the standards of teaching music by recognizing the training, experience and challenge necessary for professional growth.
    

The Naperville Music Teachers Association is a local affiliate of the Illinois State Music Teachers Association (ISMTA). The Naperville Area Local Association has a membership of over one hundred independent piano teachers, voice teachers, instrumental music teachers, and music professionals in Naperville and the surrounding suburbs. Piano lessons, voice lessons, and instrumental music lessons are offered by our members, as well as instruction in music theory and composition. Membership in the Naperville Music Teachers Association is open to all music educators and music professionals in Naperville and the surrounding communities. Membership benefits include opportunities for teachers and their students. Monthly meetings feature expert speakers and performers. Master classes, recitals, and scholarship competitions are available for students of member teachers. Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month during the academic year. The Illinois State Music Teachers Association (ISMTA) is a state affiliate of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA). There are eighteen local associations of ISMTA which provide a strong network of music professionals within local communities. Membership benefits include opportunities for professional development at conferences and workshops, as well as scholarship competitions for students.
